We analyzed 840 verified IVF bills across 12 cities. The advertised price was, on average, 38% lower than the final bill.
IVF is one of the most opaque-priced procedures in Indian healthcare. The advertised "₹1.5 lakh per cycle" is almost never what patients actually pay.
What is not in the quote
- Hormonal stimulation drugs (₹40,000–₹90,000).
- ICSI add-on (₹25,000–₹50,000).
- Embryo freezing and storage (₹20,000–₹40,000/year).
- PGD/PGT genetic screening (₹50,000–₹1,20,000).
- Anesthesia and OT charges for egg retrieval.
The median real cost of one IVF cycle in India in 2026 is ₹2.6 lakh — not the ₹1.5 lakh most clinics advertise.
How to get a real quote
Ask for the "total out-of-pocket for one full cycle, including all add-ons and medications." Force the clinic to put it in writing. The number will jump immediately.
