These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of PublicListen — the website, mobile experience, and all related services. Please read them carefully. By using PublicListen, you agree to be bound by these terms.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you ("you", "your", "user") and PublicListen ("we", "us", "our", or "PublicListen"), the operator of publiclisten.com and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing, browsing, or using the Service in any way — including creating an account, posting a review, uploading a bill, or simply reading information — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
To create an account or contribute content, you must:
Users under 18 may browse public information on the Service but must not register, post reviews, or upload any content. Parents or guardians may submit reviews on behalf of minor patients, provided they comply with our review guidelines.
To unlock contribution features, you'll need to register an account. You agree to:
Each individual may operate only one PublicListen account. Duplicate accounts, sockpuppets, or impersonation accounts will be removed without notice. Repeat offenders may be permanently banned.
Don't share your account. You're responsible for everything posted under your login. If your account is compromised, contact us at once — we'll lock it pending review.
"User Content" means anything you submit to PublicListen — reviews, ratings, photos, comments, bill uploads, profile details, and replies to other users.
You retain all ownership of your User Content. PublicListen does not claim ownership of anything you post.
By posting User Content, you grant PublicListen a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, sub-licensable licence to host, display, reproduce, distribute, adapt, translate, and aggregate that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service.
This licence:
You represent and warrant that:
To keep PublicListen useful for the next patient, we need everyone to play fair. Here's what's welcome and what's not.
We may remove content that violates these guidelines and may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat offenders. We don't gate criticism — we gate behaviour that hurts the platform's usefulness.
Reviews are the heart of PublicListen. They get extra scrutiny.
Before publishing, every review goes through visit-proof verification (see Privacy Policy). Reviews that fail verification are not published.
You may post one review per provider per separate visit. Updates are welcome — edit an existing review instead of creating a new one for the same visit.
Providers (doctors and hospitals) may respond publicly to reviews about them. Their replies are subject to the same guidelines and verification.
You can edit your reviews at any time. You can delete them. Reviews that are central to a public dispute may be retained in archived form (visible only to PublicListen's moderation team) for up to 12 months to defend against legal claims.
It is a violation of these Terms to accept any payment, discount, gift, or other inducement in exchange for posting a review. If you've been offered an incentive, report it to info@publiclisten.com.
When you upload a bill or treatment quote:
You can withdraw a cost contribution at any time from your contribution history. Aggregated data points that have already been computed into platform-wide ranges may persist in anonymized form.

robots.txt or rate limits.Violations may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, permanent ban, and where appropriate, legal action.
You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing info@publiclisten.com. Account deletion is permanent after a 30-day cooling-off period.
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if:
On termination: your right to use the Service ends; your User Content may be removed (except where retention is permitted under Section 6); provisions that by their nature survive termination — including IP, indemnification, disclaimers, and dispute resolution — remain in force.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PublicListen disclaims all warranties, including without limitation:

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PublicListen and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
